I would definitely favor an ñ favicon. Ñ would be OK too, but lowercase fits better. Both are Unicode characters. I don't want to bother any of you explaining how and why the letter Ñ is essentially the symbol of the Spanish language; it's already been discussed in the linked posts, and one need only read not even the Spanish but the English Wikipedia entry ...

I propose changing our tagging policy, and making all tags in Spanish, except when there is no Spanish equivalent for a concept. Furthermore, I suggest making the English versions of the tags synonyms with the Spanish versions. This will reduce the need for a massive re-tagging effort of all current questions, and will also make it easier for non-fluent ...

We don't quite have this as you described, but we can easily enable SoundCloud for this purpose. You'd just need to record the sound byte, upload it to SoundCloud and then it would be easy to play from directly within a post. I've enabled this for Spanish Stack Exchange now - you can use it right away (only SoundCloud, not YouTube) on a trial basis to see ...

We have a per-site setting that tells whether non-ASCII characters are supposed to appear in tags or not, it was (mistakenly) set to "no" in this site. Fixed now: pingüino-español-monísimo

To give another option its own place to be voted on, the inverted question mark (a distinguishing feature of the Spanish orthography, which also embodies the idea of SE being a Q&A site). Either singular: ¿ or as a pair: ¿?

I seem to remember writing at some point that the only use case that I could find to keep a tag that said "do not use this tag" is if we see that this tags gets periodically created, misused and deleted, over and over again. The rationale would be "better to keep the tag and document the problem on it's wiki info than hitting and discussing the problem in ...

For tracking purposes, let's list all the questions that contain the aprendizaje tag. These are open: How can I order food in Spanish, without the waiter switching to English? retagged ¿Existe alguna clasificación de palabras para determinar si son positivas o negativas? retagged Does the Spanish Wikipedia use correct Spanish? - closed & ...

The change has been done and it is live in What topics can I ask about here?. Note I replaced the bold format al español for al español in italics, since there is just one piece of bold text in the whole page and this was giving unnecessary priority to a specific part of a sentence. I am answering saying "I did it" instead of just marking the question as ...

The change has been done and it is live in What topics can I ask about here?. I am answering saying "I did it" instead of just marking the question as status-completed because OP noticed that this way the question will still show in the Unanswered tab. Let's upvote Remove questions with moderator tags from the Unanswered list to have this behaviour changed....

As discussed in ¿Cómo deberíamos etiquetar las preguntas sobre pronombres 'la', 'le' y 'lo' y en las que se observa laísmo, leísmo o loísmo?, we now have clíticos with multiple synonyms: le, lo, pronombre-la, pronombre-le and pronombre-lo.

I like walen's proposal, but just to give people the other obvious choice to vote: Yes, I want a different favicon, one with an uppercase Ñ. Ñ is U+00D1 in Unicode, Ñ in HTML.

What topics can I ask about here?.

After getting 4 upvotes and 0 downvotes, this has been approved. The question cannot be migrated because it is more than 60 days old, so I created a new one: Resources for learning Spanish following the format in the German site. Let's try to keep a good list of resources and think deeply on what sections we want there.

Podéis verlo en: What is "meta"? How does it work? Desde aquí, ¡gracias a ambos!

Here's a website that introduces the concept of meta discussions, in Spanish. It's about Wikimedia rather than Wikipedia, but it's related. http://tecnologiaedu.uma.es/materiales/wiki/archivos/t1_wiki.pdf If you scroll down to page 9, you'll see a brief paragraph about meta discussions. It's highly possible that some of the terms are geek speak ...

I'm not sure at what point this was fixed (for extended unicode characters in both urls and tags), but the example accented character links and tags all work/display fine as of 2019.

1

The stripping issue in tags has been fixed for about a year. The URL portion of this issue isn't going to be worked because the changes required to the markdown implementation and tag sanitizer are substantial, and users can use the hyperlink button in the editing toolbar to safely render such URLs. For a more complete explanation, please refer to balpha's ...

Good idea. This is done now, along with a couple other minor tweaks.

From that list my first choice would be: Alternativas a “irretrasable” There are only 3 question in spanish, and I think this is the most suitable for the about page

1

Yes it is possible, but the choices are somewhat limited. As of today, these questions are available: What is Spanish for "John Doe" in Puerto Rico? Alternativas a "irretrasable" ¿Se usa 'guácala' fuera de México? What is the difference between "ser cierto" and "ser verdad"? Translation of &...
